Finally, Understand
How Your Child
Experiences the World.
When you know how your child truly thinks, learns, and processes, you can stop guessing and start giving them exactly what they need to thrive.
You Can See They're Struggling, But You Don't Know Why
Watching your child struggle is one of the hardest things a parent can go through. You know how bright they are, but something keeps getting in the way.
Signs of ADHD, Autism, anxiety, dyslexia, and other learning or developmental differences don't always come with a clear label.
They show up as daily battles:
The reading that never clicks
The focus that slips away
The meltdowns that don't match the moment
The school mornings that feel impossible
The extra effort that goes into studying without the grades to reflect it
You've asked questions, sat through meetings, and been told to wait and see. But your gut keeps telling you something more is going on.
Clear Answers and a Real Plan
Your child deserves to be fully understood. Not just evaluated, but truly seen. I provide comprehensive, neuro-affirming assessments that go beyond labels and checklists to give your family real clarity and a personalized path forward.
Every evaluation is built around your child as an individual, so you leave knowing how their unique brain works and how to support them.
You will leave with:
A thorough understanding of how your child learns, processes, and experiences the world
A clear, written report with actionable recommendations you can use right away
A direct bridge between evaluation findings and what happens at school and at home
Renewed confidence for both you and your child
Your Family Deserves More
Through nearly two decades as a school psychologist in public schools, I have sat with hundreds of students and parents during their hardest moments and advocated for kids who needed someone in their corner.
I kept seeing the same thing. Families would leave meetings with plenty of paperwork but not enough of what they truly needed: time, clarity, and someone to walk alongside them. Crawford Educational Psychology grew out of my desire to change that.
Now, as a Licensed Educational Psychologist, I have the freedom to provide thorough, unhurried evaluations without the constraints of eligibility criteria or overwhelming caseloads, so I can meet your family where you are and give your child the individualized support that will make a difference.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. As a Licensed Educational Psychologist, I am qualified to diagnose learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, depression, and other educational and developmental conditions. I also have experience and training in assessing and supporting Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profiles.
My evaluations are comprehensive and go well beyond a checklist or a single screening tool. Every evaluation is thorough, individualized, and designed to give your family and your child's school a complete picture, along with clear, actionable recommendations to provide next steps for supporting your child.
I work with students of all ages, from young children just entering school to teenagers preparing for college. I also support college students looking for assessments to support classroom and housing accommodations as well as adults needing accommodations for high-stakes exams like the MCAT, LSAT, GRE or accommodations for a work or vocational setting.
If you have noticed your child struggling to keep up academically, having difficulty focusing or staying organized, running out of time on exams, spending more time on homework than their peers, finding social situations overwhelming, or experiencing anxiety around school, an evaluation can help you understand why.
You do not need a referral. If your gut is telling you something more is going on, that is reason enough to start a conversation.
Most families complete the process within three to five weeks from the initial intake call to the feedback session.
Testing typically involves two to four sessions, depending on your child's age and the questions we are exploring. Once testing is complete, you will receive a comprehensive written report within two weeks, followed by a one-hour dedicated feedback session where we review everything together, and you can ask questions.
I recommend keeping it simple and positive. You can tell your child that they will meet with someone who wants to understand how they think and learn, and that there are no right or wrong answers. My sessions are designed to feel comfortable and low-pressure, and most children find the experience much less intimidating than they expected, and even fun! I am happy to talk through how to prepare your child during our initial consultation.
Some services are available virtually for residents of California or Massachusetts. If you’re interested, please reach out for a free consultation, and we’ll discuss the options.
Educational psychology evaluations are generally not covered by health insurance, regardless of the provider. Because these are educational assessments rather than medical, most insurance plans do not include them as a covered benefit. If the evaluation includes a medical or mental health component, such as ASD or ADHD evaluations, your plan may offer partial reimbursement. I can provide a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement.
As a former school psychologist who has worked inside public districts for many years, I understand how the school system works and how to communicate. My reports are written to be thorough, well-documented, and clearly aligned with educational and legal standards, which makes them hard to dismiss.
If a district challenges the findings, you have rights as a parent, and I can help you understand them. I also offer Special Education Advocacy and IEP and 504 Plan Support to help ensure your child gets the support they are entitled to.
My practice is located at 1299 4th Street, Suite 306, in San Rafael, which puts me at the heart of Marin County. I serve families from Corte Madera, Greenbrae, Kentfield, Larkspur, Mill Valley, Novato, San Anselmo, Sausalito, Tiburon, and surrounding areas.
Some virtual services are also available for families in California and Massachusetts who prefer to meet remotely. I also conduct IEE assessments for students all over the Bay Area.
